Part of a set of 14 photographs sent to the 1883 International Colonial and Export Exhibition (Internationale Koloniale en Uitvoerhandel Tentoonstelling) in Amsterdam, of which 13 are known to still exist today (held at the KITLV Institute, Leiden University, the Netherlands)

She is rendering most important services. No vessel, whatever her size or how deeply laden she might be, had since the Phosphaat's arrival at Aruba to wait for favorable wind or calm weather to leave the harbor. This tugboat renders likewise great assistance to such vessels as are prevented, on their coming to Aruba, from reaching the port through contrary winds or current. She tows them from the open sea to a safe anchorage in the harbor in a few hours time". (
