Zie ook: Aruba : zoals het was, zoals het werd (1953). Het karakteristiek geworden punt van het uit 1796 daterende Fort Zoutman met de in 1929 verbouwde vuurtoren Willem III. De vuurtoren werd in 1867 gebouwd en het licht werd ontstoken op 19 februari 1868, de verjaardag van Koning Willem III.
