Caption: Electrical Rectifier Unit. Concentrating tower for Cotterell Precipitator. Frame 4955 shows rotating rectifier disk throwing sparks to the shoe of the static non-rotating disk. Voltage steps up to 75,000 and charge is so powerful that extreme precautions are necessary.
