"Fls. 250, highest award received by an employee in TSD drafting and blueprint section went to W. Alexis, above, who suggested substituting photostat fixer for electro-copyist fixer. In addition to savings, his idea made it more convenient to use one brand of chemical for two operations. The picture above is a reflection of Alexis in the shiny glass of the photostat machine. Note ruled lines of the glass where the material to be copied is placed, and the reflection of the photostat camera above his head"
