De in Nederland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog gexecuteerde Arubaanse verzetsstrijder Boy Ecury is door het Nederlandse marineschip Van Speijk overgebracht naar Aruba. Daar wordt hij met militaire eer begraven op het kerkhof van Oranjestad. Veel publieke belangstelling als de lange begrafenisstoet, met oa militairen en geestelijken, door de straten naar het kerkhof trekt. Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.

The Aruban resistance fighter Boy Ecury, who was executed in the Netherlands during World War II, has been brought to Aruba by the marine vessel "Van Speijk". There he is buried with militairy honour on the cemetery of Oranjestad. There is a large public interest as the funeral procession, with a.o. soldiers and clergymen, moves through the streets to the cemetery.
