Regina Jacomina Croes’ Poetry Album

June 4th 2015 Mrs. Ellen Henriquez and Mrs. Diandra Alders donated a poetry album which once belonged to Mrs. Regina Jacomina Croes (1819-1897). The album contains 16 poems written on Aruba between 1847 and 1880.

Ms. Regina Croes was born on Aruba on November 10th, 1819. She married the Frenchman Louis Bazin (1793-1853) who was owner of the plantation “Mon Plaisir”. After the passing of her husband, Louis Bazin, Regina Jacomina Croes married the Italian Pietro Guiseppe Frigerio (1823-1863).
